After years of serving clients at smaller firms, Erik founded Mountain West Advisors, LLC in the spring of 2023 with a clear purpose: to support the financial health of nonprofit organizations. Driven by a long-standing connection to mission-driven work, he built the firm around a focused commitment to nonprofits — offering specialized audit, tax, and consulting services designed to help them thrive.
 

Erik brings over 14 years of experience in nonprofit accounting, auditing, and tax, including extensive work with multifamily housing entities and housing authorities. He holds a master’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Regis University in Denver. He is also a proud member of the AICPA and the Colorado Society of CPAs.
 

Before his career in public accounting, Erik was a golf professional — where he not only taught the fundamentals of the game but also shared his passion for it. Today, he brings that same patient, people-first approach to helping nonprofits navigate complex financial challenges with clarity and confidence.
